As part of our generous benefits package, we believe in providing either free or tuition reimbursement opportunities for individuals looking to take advantage of the career advancement programs. These programs include current CNA’s to become Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), LPN’s to advance to a Registered Nursing degree, as well as other various professional development programs for administrative and support staff.
For new employees, we work with staff to provide flexible orientation, extensive follow up during their first few weeks on the job and match new staff with mentors when first beginning their orientation on the units. Along with the above career advancement initiatives, Shaker Place has created a Performance Improvement Program (PIP) Team specifically on the topic of Enhancing the Workplace Environment. This interdisciplinary team brings ideas and insights from all departments across the facility to improve workplace satisfaction and efficiency across all departments. We believe in being one team and working together to help achieve our goals.
Shaker Place employees can also nominate staff members for a Certificate of Recognition Award. This program recognizes individuals for their outstanding service to the facility, coworkers, and residents. Over the past two years, Shaker Place has awarded nearly 40 staff members with this valued recognition.
