Shaker Place offers our residents a social environment that provides a wide range of fun and therapeutic activities. Our activities department is richly staffed, with an activity assistant assigned to each wing. Each nursing wing has its own individually planned activities. In addition, community-wide activities are held daily, from morning through evening.
Our activity department also plans and organizes a number of special events throughout the year for the sheer entertainment of our residents, including: Resident Appreciation Day; an old-fashioned carnival complete with midway; a Halloween haunted house; a National Nursing Home Week celebration with a 50’s sock hop; and performances by the Shaker Place Staff Choir.
