Specialized Care When You Need It
Sometimes, the time spent in the hospital is too short for a person’s body to fully recover and they need a bridge between the hospital and home. For others, long-term care may be the best option to help them maintain their quality of life. Whatever the need, our resident-centered care helps residents achieve and maintain their highest individual levels of physical and psychosocial function. Skilled nursing facilities like ours, commonly known as nursing homes, offer many of the same advanced medical resources you would find in a hospital, but in a comfortable, home-like setting. Whether due to illness, frailty, or another limitation, Shaker Place’s dedicated team of staff specializes in providing care for residents who can no longer be cared for at home, or in an assisted living facility.
- Peace of Mind: with 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, round-the-clock, expert care
- Advancements in Technology: we utilize innovative treatments to provide the best care possible
- Dedicated Professionals: we maintain registered nursing units comprised of managers and nurses constantly on duty to serve our residents better
- High Standards: we practice a routine review of our clinical programming to always remain professional
Few facilities nationally provide such an extensive array of clinical programming as we do within our nursing department. Shaker Place’s registered nursing staff specialize in skincare programs and the monitoring of infectious diseases and infection control practices. Our wound care program is dedicated and comprehensive, with a certified wound care nurse on staff experienced in caring for very involved wounds. Other skilled nursing and sub-acute services include IV therapy, trach care, palliative care, and hospice care.
Our long-term care residents are evaluated quarterly and if therapeutic services become necessary, our interdisciplinary teams work fast and efficiently to get our residents back to their most independent level. We help our residents improve their endurance and implement positioning if making them more comfortable is the next step. For short-term care, which can be intensive, rehab and respite are available simultaneously.
At Shaker Place, you’ll notice that the little things make all the difference. Whether it’s a warm smile, a caring touch, or a lively conversation, our compassionate staff care for our residents like family, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are always fully met.
