From Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts Troops, to young adults, to full-time professionals, Shaker Place Rehabilitation and Nursing Center’s volunteer program is always looking for fresh, new faces!

Volunteers play such an important role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents. If you have a new idea for an activity or programming, we want to hear from you! Or, if you’d like to assist in routine daily services, your help is always appreciated. The happy expressions on our resident’s faces is testament enough: your commitment matters.

Supporting Your Family is Easy

Resident’s family members have the ability to share questions, concerns, and ideas with Shaker Place’s administration. It’s our Family Council: a formal, independent, voluntary group of family members and friends working together to promote communication. Family Council plays a major role in voicing concerns, suggesting improvements, supporting family members and residents, and contributing to our community’s efforts to improve the quality of life and enhance the quality of care.

Family Council meetings occur September through May, on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m.

Join the Family Council today to the benefit of your loved one and all of Shaker Place’s residents:
